Rio began his music career singing in the church and in contemporary gospel groups in the Bay Area and Seattle.  He later teamed with some friends at CAL Berkeley and released a single "Eternity" which was a college favorite. 

He continued his music career signing to Motown for a compilation project where he wrote the title single "Gotta Hold On" and toured the country with his group "Strate Vocalz".  The group was nominated for a Stellar Award.  

Rio went on to produce internationally for platinum artist FNKL and was a featured artist on their album.  Other production credits include Young Bleed, Erica Fox and Joi (Bay Area local artist)

Rio is a technology sales consultant, real estate investor and strategy specialist, who is living his best life!
